your first practice

Before you attend your first practice, please fill out our waiver to tell us a little bit about yourself. Practices are an open-workout style, meaning that we don't structure our practices - you can work on whatever you choose, whenever you want. We don't currently have coaches, but instead, we all coach each other - we have a very knowledgeable executive board that is here to help you out.

Cost

We give members one week of attending practices before you have to pay  semester dues. We accept payment in cash, check, or Venmo (@UMNGymClub). Here's the price breakdown:

Fall semester: $60 for non-competitors, $100 for competitors

Spring semester: $60 for non-competitors, $100 for competitors

Summer: $25 for all members

Fundraising

We require all of our members to participate in fundraising during the fall and spring semesters. We raise funds for the club through HundredX Surveys, doing gymnastics for cash donations at Gopher tailgating lots, and cleaning up the Ridder Arena after Gopher Women's Hockey games. Funds go towards paying for gym rental fees and gymnast insurance. Failure to complete mandatory fundraising results in a $25 fine, per event that you miss.

competition

We offer our members the chance to compete against other collegiate gymnastics clubs across the country through our parent organization, the National Association of Intercollegiate Gymnastics Clubs (NAIGC). You can compete for our team at any age or skill level, even if you have never done gymnastics before! NAIGC offers levels Xcel Silver, Xcel Platinum, Xcel Diamond and 9 for Women's Artistic Gymnastics and Developmental, Intermediate, and Advanced for Men's Artistic Gymnastics. Any gymnast, regardless of gender identity, can compete in any event! Our competition season runs from late November to late April, ending with a national competition hosted by NAIGC.

There are additional travel fees for our competitive members.
