Gymnastics is fun...

...but it can be dangerous.

A concussion is a mild traumatic brain injury that is induced by biomechanical forces to the head, neck, or body. Common symptoms include: â€‹headache; dizziness; sensitivity to light or sound; balance impairment; cognitive impairment; irritability; and drowsiness. If you think that you have experienced any of these symptoms while doing gymnastics, stop all activity and seek medical attention. Failure to do so can be dangerous and result in permanent neurological damage. Do not return to gymnastics until a medical professional says that it is safe to do so. Please consult the resources below if you'd like additional information about concussions.
